NMN and Resveratrol play a key role in the activation of the sirtuin genes. Sirtuins are NAD+ dependent enzymes that modulate the activities of target proteins, mediate changes in the metabolic status of cells and regulate diseases, and cancer. Resveratrol is seen as the “accelerator pedal” for the sirtuin genes (increasing their activation) and NMN as the fuel for the sirtuin genes (increasing NAD+).
