What is Horny Goat Weed?
It’s an improbable name, one that invites attention and giggles. But behind the light-hearted nickname stands a serious herb. The Chinese consider Horny Goat Weed, also known as Ying Yang Huo the premier libido-lifter for men and women, and top aid to erectile function in men. While the exact way that horny goat weed works remains unknown, the plant has long been employed to restore sexual fire, boost erectile function, allay fatigue and even alleviate menopausal discomfort.

Horny Goat Weed is a traditional botanical medicine used in China and Japan. Although this herb (which also goes by the names Yin Yang Huo, Inyokaku, and Herba Epimedii) has a history of traditional use for disorders of the kidneys, joints, liver, back and knees, its principal use is as an aphrodisiac. It stimulates sexual activity in both men and women, stimulates the sensory nerves and increases sexual desire.
What is Maca?
Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a root-like vegetable shaped like a radish that grows high in the harsh climate of the Andes Mountains in South America at elevations up to 15,000 feet. For more than two millennia, native Peruvians have used maca as food and medicine, to promote endurance and improve sexual interest and fertility.
Researchers at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, in Lima, Peru, performed a 12-week double blind, placebo-controlled, randomised trial in which active treatment with different doses of maca was compared with placebo. Men aged 21-56 years received 3g of maca. An improvement in sexual desire was observed with maca at 8 weeks of treatment. Serum testosterone and estradiol levels were not different in men treated with maca than in those treated with placebo.
What is Saw Palmetto?
There is much research and documentation that supports the benefits of Saw Palmetto for prostate and the urinary tract. Nearly 50% of men over 50 will experience benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlargement of the prostate.
Saw Palmetto may be as effective in treating BPH as prescription medication. A clinical trial conducted in France reported that the number of times men had to urinate at night decreased by 45%, and urine flow rate increased by 50%. In another study, 1300 men that suffer from enlarged prostate were given Saw Palmetto extract for 12 weeks, the participants noted the following:
1) less nighttime urination
2) increased urine flow and volume.

Panax Ginseng: Ginseng is considered to be an adaptogen (a therapeutic and restorative tonic generally considered to produce a balancing effect on the body), and is believed to have anti-stress and endurance-enhancing effects.
Macuna Pruriens (L-Dopa): L-Dopa is an amino acid that converts into dopamine. Dopamine is an essential component of our body and it’s required for proper functioning of the brain. Research discovered the body converts the amino acid tyrosine into L-dopa; L-dopa is then converted into dopamine. Without the neurotransmitter dopamine to serve a damping effect on neural transmissions, muscles become tense and tremble.
Arginine (L-arginine hcl): Arginine is necessary for the execution of many physiological processes. These physiological processes include hormone secretion, an increase in growth hormone output, the removal of toxic waste products from the body, and immune system defenses.
Muira Puama: Muira puama is a small Brazilian tree that grows across the Amazon river basin. It has a long history of use in Brazilian folk medicine as an aphrodisiac. It is used mainly as a herbal remedy for erectile dysfunction and sexual dysfunction in women.
Tongkat Ali: Tongkat ali appears to work by increasing levels of the hormone testosterone. Testosterone is primarily responsible for the growth and development of male reproductive organs, including the penis, testicles, scrotum, prostate, and seminal vesicles. Normal testosterone levels maintain energy level, mood, fertility, and sexual desire.
Polypodium Vulgare: Polypodium Vulgare may increase muscle, strength, and stamina. It is thought to have a muscle growing and androgen-like effects on the body.
