Member Insight – Fran Hardwicke
Fran inspires us not just because of her effort in every session but her tenacity to get through to where she wants to be.
It has been one hell of a journey however she keeps going and is working through to targets and milestones we have set as a team.
To date she has lost 60kg+ which is a massive effort and one to recognise and celebrate.
She has completed 3 Tough Mudders, 2 lifting competitions and has been overseas with us twice to fulfil her adventurous ambitions.
Both Erin and I have been coaching her for some time now and we are immensely proud of her and how far she has come.
She is someone who now understands she controls her future, her choices and I can’t wait for the next few chapters of her story.
A person to have on your team as she will always get the job done.
1. What are your fitness goals?
My current fitness goal is to compete in power lifting within the next 6 months. It’s something I’ve always thought about but have never felt confident enough to do it.
UPDATE: This has now been completed!
2. What excites you about achieving these goals?
For me even just competing in something fitness related will be a win, I’ve always given up on myself and want to prove to myself that I to can. I’m excited to achieve this goal and see where it takes me.
3. What are the first 5 things on your bucket list?
The first 5 things on my bucket list are:
1) Visit Egypt and see the pyramids
2) Sky Diving
3) Bungy jumping in New Zealand
4) To live and work in London
5) See a Britney Spears show in Vegas
4. What do you like about Elements4Life?
The people!! It’s such a supportive environment, I look forward to coming every single day because of the amazing people.
5. Why is Elements4Life different compared to your previous fitness experiences?
Again the people! I’ve been a member of and done personal training at other gyms before and I felt like just another number! I’ve now got people who help, support and actually care about me as an individual. Every session I get pushed and have done things I never thought I could or would ever do and it’s a great feeling!
6. What is your favourite fitness skill or workout?
It’s hard to pick a favourite but I do love punch! It’s just fun and a great way to unwind and get rid of any frustrations from the day.
7. What does a healthy lifestyle mean to you?
To me a healthy lifestyle means looking after my mind and body through training, good nutrition and doing things that make me happy!
8. What event or adventure would you like to do in the near future?
Definitely Tough Mudder!! I’m both excited and absolutely terrified of doing Tough Mudder. Again it’s one of those things I’ve thought about but never thought I would ever be able to do it – if I don’t do it now I never will!!
