Physical activity or exercise can reduce the risk of diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long term health benefits.  The key is to find the best way to maintain this activity and ensure its overall sustainability.   Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life.

A minimum of 45-60 minutes a day can allow you to enjoy the benefits of a better life.   A minimum of 20-45 minutes of high intensity training (HIIT) is recommended 2x per week minimum for the best overall results.  Incorporate your HIIT training with specific weight training and resistance work and you will take your body to a new level of fitness.  You must have your nutrition and training in place.   HIIT, weights programming and nutrition plans with focused body care such as massage are integral.

Exercising with others provides an opportunity for increased social contact. Increased fitness may lift your mood and improve sleep patterns. Exercise may also change levels of chemicals in your brain, such as serotonin, endorphins and stress hormones.

Aim for at least 60 minutes a day.  This simply means active movement with intent.   Incorporating a resistance program into your schedule is critical.

Increases in daily activity can come from small changes made throughout your day, such as walking or cycling instead of using the car, getting off a tram, train or bus a stop earlier and walking the rest of the way, or walking the children to school.

Pre-exercise screening is used to identify people with medical conditions that may put them at a higher risk of experiencing a health problem during physical activity.  Elements4Life ensures a full screening session is done for all members before they commence.  It is a filter or ‘safety net’ to help decide if the potential benefits of exercise outweigh the risks for you.
